This aged ripe pu-erh tea was produced from tea leaves harvested in the Mang Fei mountain area of Yong De county (Lincang). The tea underwent wet piling (wo dui) in a local Yong De area tea factory. and then sold to a Nan Jian area tea factory. Tea was aged in Nan Jian from 2012-2017. and then Kunming thereafter! After 8 years of aging its”wo dui” taste (freshly wet piled aka composted) is entirely gone! It brews up a clear burgundy red tea soup. and the taste is very clear and sweet. with an earthy camphor taste. Tea is Grade 5 size tea leaves (neither big nor small). An enjoyable and accessible ripe pu-erh tea that’s great to drink now. but will continue to improve with further storage. 2012 harvested and wet piled!
