This is most likely a generic production which uses a classic “Big Yellow Mark” with large characters wrapper. This is a private production pressing from Menghai tea that was wet piled in 2003. pressed and then stored in Jinghong for 14 years and then (in 2017) has been stored in Kunming. This is a very nicely aged tea that is ultra smooth and sweet to drink. It’s medium-tight level of compression preserved it’s character in the wetter storage of Jinghong. giving the tea a very unique character. It gradually separates when brewing. and needs hot hot water to get the most from it. It’s one of those aged ripes that requires almost no skill to brew (hard to oversteep it). and is very satisfying to drink too. The tea was aged for 11 years in Guangdong dry storage condition and has developed a mature subtle taste and abundant cha qi. It’s got slight bitterness up front and then smooth minty sweetness with camphor aroma. The tea soup is super clear burgundy beauty.
