This is a Spring 2006 pluck from Mangshi county of Dehong “Ye Sheng” varietal purple tea trees. Stored in Dehong from 2006 until 2014 and then Kunming until now. The tea is incredibly potent both in taste and cha qi! Very strong thick mouthfeel with an alternating sweet and bitter. The early steeps have a fairly strong smoky character. It’s meaty and briny with a strong heady aroma! Goes many many steeps before weakening! 357 Grams per cake (white wrapper / no date stamp) Ye Sheng Varietal
